The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Southeast, in occasion of its 25th anniversary, is proud to present “The Best of Italy Gala Night”, which intends to be a prestigious display for Italian Brands.

“The Best of Italy Gala Night” will be an unforgettable moment which aims at promoting Made in Italy through different initiatives on Saturday, October 22nd:

Street exhibit on Flagler Street, in the heart of Miami Downtown. A part of the street will be closed and will be used as location for an exhibition of iconic Italian cars (free and open to the public);
VIP Cocktail Party and Gala dinner at the Historic Alfred I DuPont Building, with an area dedicated to Italian excellences in the field of fashion, design and food ($400);
“Made in Italy Ambassador Award” presented to leading personalities in the field of entrepreneurship who played a crucial role in the exportation and promotion of Italian style and design in the USA.
Launch of a special edition of the “.IT Italian Trade” magazine intended to celebrate the best of the Italian’s elegance and creativity as well as its influence on the American lifestyle;
Concert at the end of the Gala Dinner with a renowned Italian performer.

A portion of the proceeds of the event will be donated to the victims of the earthquake in central Italy for the reconstruction of the affected areas

THE 14TH EDITION OF THE CINEMA ITALY WILL OPEN ITS CURTAINS SOON!

Ten new, current season films will be screened in competition for the Best Film Award at the Regal Cinema South Beach from October 6th to the 11th.

A diverse mix of romance, comedy and drama features the lineup, showcasing this year’s most awarded films, such as: “Lo Chiamavano Jeeg Robot”,2015, multi-awarded action-drama directed by Gabriele Mainetti and “Loro Chi?”, 2015, diverted comedy directed by Fabio Bonifacci, Francesco Micciche’.

The Opening Cocktail will take place at the marvelous Delano Hotel in South Beach, as well as the Closing Dinner and Award Ceremony at the “Bianca” restaurant in the hotel lobby. The best clubs of Miami Beach will be hosting after parties every night.

Zonin: Italian bubbles at “The Best of Italy Gala Night.”

The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the commitment of “Zonin 1821” as a Gold Sponsor at “The Best of Italy Gala Night”.

With its close ties to the land for the past seven generations, the Zonin family heads the largest private vine growing and winemaking company in Italy.

Domenico Zonin, CEO of ZONIN 1821, since 2014, took over from his father Gianni Zonin, who has run the Company since 1967 for forty years, transforming it from a local dimension to being one of Italy’s most important wine producers and an established, well- known brand all over the world.

The Miami Heat score at “The Best of Italy Gala Night.”

The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce scores again as the Miami Heat commit as a Silver Sponsor for “The Best of Italy Gala Night.”

The Miami Heat is a professional basketball team based in Miami, Florida. They compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as members of the Eastern Conference Southeast Division. Their home games are played in Miami’s famous arena – American Airlines Arena – in Downtown Miami.

Miami Heat as always been one of the most recognized basketball teams in the nation. Along their history they have won three league championships (2006, 2012, 2013) five conference titles and 11 division titles. They are also recognized for being the team to have the third- longest streak in NBA history by winning 27 games in a row.

Hitachi Rail brings “movement” to “The Best of Italy Gala Night.”

The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce is honored to announce the commitment of “Hitachi Rail USA” as a Silver Sponsor at “The Best of Italy Gala Night”.

Hitachi Rail USA has a wide range of products, ranging from high speed to driverless metros. On March 2016 the company announced the completion of a manufacturing facility for Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works’ new Metrorail vehicles; a project originally initiated by AnsaldoBreda S.p.A, the most important Italian rail transport engineering company, which was sold in 2015 to Hitachi Rail USA, changing its name to Hitachi Rail Italy.

The 140,400 square-feet plant, located in Medley, FL., manufacture 136 cars and 272 motor bogies needed to replace the County’s Metrorail fleet. The Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works contracted the production to Hitachi Rail.

The assembly of the Metrorail vehicles began last March, and the first completed vehicles will begin the qualification-testing phase by the end of the year. The first new Metrorail vehicles will be put into service in late 2017.

During the street exhibit on the night of the event, Hitachi Rail USA will display on Flagler Street a preview of the Miami Metrorail cars that will be put into service in 2017. This is a one-time opportunity for participants to take a peak to Miami’s years to come.
