The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Junior Project Manager – Business Events to join our team. Our Chamber is an association of businesses officially recognized by the Italian Government, dedicated to fostering trade between Italy and the United States. The successful candidate should be ready to thrive in a fast-paced team environment with the opportunity to gain experience in various aspects of the Italian and U.S. markets.
This position will begin with a two-month internship with expense reimbursement, followed by the opportunity for full-time employment.
Role: Junior Project Manager – Business Events
Description
The candidate will support the IACCSE’s projects and events senior team to enhance various initiatives, including the Chamber’s signature business events. The junior project manager will be responsible for researching and securing venues, planning and managing our events calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, providing guidelines and assistance to sponsors and exhibitors.
Hours Schedule: 9 am – 5.15 pm, Monday to Friday
Role and Responsibilities:
- Handling all questions and information requests regarding the projects and events for existing and prospective exhibitors/sponsors.
- Assisting with event communication activities.
- Preparing marketing materials.
- Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.
- Managing budgeting and invoicing.
- Liaising and negotiating with vendors.
- Responding to sponsors’ and exhibitors’ requests.
- Managing logistics.
- Updating senior management.
- Handling post-event reports.
Requirements:
- Full command of English and Italian languages.
- Proven ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously, strong project management skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- High organizational and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Legal resident in the US or in possession of a non-immigrant Visa
